Dr. Elena C. Byrnes is a Board-Certified Optometrist who received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Queen's University in Ontario. Following her undergraduate education in Canada, she completed the Doctor of Optometry program at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Byrnes subsequently completed a nationally accredited residency program in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She has trained and since practiced extensively in the area of ocular disease. Dr. Byrnes has worked hand in hand with ophthalmologists since her graduation in 2000 working closely with some of the area’s leading sub-specialists in the areas of glaucoma and retinal surgery. Dr. Byrnes became owner of Prince William Eye Associates in 2003 and has since focused her practice to the Manassas area providing comprehensive eye exams, contact lens services, and medical treatment of ocular diseases for all ages. Dr. Byrnes enjoys working with children of all ages and treats amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (crossed eyes).

Dr Mita Gupta is a Board-Certified Optometrist who received her Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2001and successfully completed the Doctor of Optometry program at the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2005. Dr Gupta completed her residency program at the Hudson Valley Veteran Affairs Healthcare System in Montrose, New York with a primary focus on the treatment and management of ocular disease such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. During her residency she also trained on specialty and rigid contact lenses as well as prosthetic customization and fitting. Following her residency her paper on Vitreo-Macular Traction Syndrome gained her a Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in December of 2006. She is a current member of the Northern Virginia Optometric Society(N.V.O.S), Virginia Optometric Association (V.O.A.), American Optometric Association (A.O.A.), and American Academy of Optometry (A.A.O.) and regularly attends conferences and meetings to learn about the latest treatment and diagnosis in eyecare. Dr Gupta joined Prince William Eye Associates with Dr Byrnes in 2009 and enjoys performing comprehensive eye exams, fitting contact lenses, and treating ocular disease for all ages. She is competent in Spanish, Urdu, and Hindi. She is looking forward to taking care of your vision needs.

Dr. Michael Wong is a Board-Certified Optometrist who received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida. After completing his Doctor of Optometry program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Wong finished an accredited residency program in the treatment and management of ocular disease at Salus University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2011, Dr. Wong joined Prince William Eye Associates and currently practices full scope optometry with particular interess in treating pediatric and geriatric patients, as well as patients with Dry Eye, Glaucoma, and Binocular Vision Disorders. In his spare time, he has gone on multiple mission trips to 3rd world countries, providing complimentary eye exams, glasses, and medical treatment to people who have no access to health care. Dr. Wong can speak Cantonese Chinese and is semi fluent in Spanish.
